Why We Should Delay the US Election

Related

President Donald Trump stated that the 2020 election should be delayed. I do not know whether the president really meant what he said. However, I do agree that the November 2020 election should be postponed. One of the reasons that I believe that the election should be postponed is because of Covid-19.

I do believe that if people can go out and protest, then they can also go to the polls. However, many people will use Covid-19 as an excuse to not go to the polls. They want to mail in their votes. Mail-in voting has been proven to be a fraudulent way to vote.

There are millions of dead people who are still registered to vote. This was proven in the 2008 and 2012 election. There are also dogs and cats that are registered to vote. If people feel that they cannot safely vote in person, then it would be within the best interest to postpone the election.

Covid-19 has also put a pause on campaigning. The president has started doing his rallies again. However, Joe Biden has not done much campaigning. I feel that both candidates should have more time to promote their campaign. Online campaigning is not as effective as in-person campaigning.

The economy is one of the things that people consider before they vote. Before Covid hit, the economy was doing great. Unfortunately, the economy has taken a major hit because of Covid. I feel that the economy should have a chance to bounce back before people decide who they are going to vote for.

The last few months have been crazy. The upcoming election has slid down to the bottom of many people’s priority lists. Many people have been trying to figure out how they are going to survive the Covid madness. Others have been worried about where they are going to get their next meal and how they are going to pay their bills.

However, this is an important upcoming election. The candidate who wins the election will shape America for the next four years. They will also determine who the next Supreme Court nominees will be.

I feel that when many people vote, they do not make an informed decision. They do not take the time to research the candidates. I feel that people need more time to research both candidates and make the right decisions. When things get better in people’s personal lives, it will be a lot easier for them to focus on who they are going to vote for.

Furthermore, Biden and Trump have not been able to debate yet. I think that they should have several debates before the election. I am looking forward to the debates. I already know that I am voting for Donald Trump, but I feel that the debates can help sway voters who are undecided.

I also find the political debates to be entertaining. If and when they decide to have debates, I will be watching with my popcorn and snacks. I believe that there should be at least three debates before the election.
